Conducting an assessment of physical ergonomic factors to help drive a reduction in the Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) of factory workers. This project involves working closely with various stakeholders, including management and the health and safety team. Assessment techniques such as Task Analysis will be conducted and ergonomic risk factors will be identified using postural assessment tools including REBA and RULA. The data will be used in conjunction with the implementation of a ‘Kaizen’ team of ‘champions’ to facilitate a proactive approach to managing and reducing work related injuries.
Following the successful implementation at the Sakata production plant in Melbourne, the program will be implemented at other Pepsico plants across the Asia Pacific Region.
